Con il modello CP inizia la produzione e la vendita dei tasti della società T.A.C. pubblicizzata dal 1944 e prodotta sino al 1946.

 

Ted McElroy e gli amici Joe Goode e Frank Bascomb durante la seconda guerra mondiale formarono in partnership la TAC per la produzione di tasti telegrafici, permetendo così alla McElroy di concentrarsi nella produzione di altre commesse militari.

 

La T.A.C. a differenza della McElory non adotterà i numeri seriali per i tasti prodotti, ma applicherà solo un targa di produzione, questo non permette di conoscere effettivamente quanto tasti CP 500/800 siano stati prodotti e commercializzati.

 

Questo bug sembra la copia del predecessore P-500 prodotto dalla McElroy. La forma del progetto, le dimensioni e la base sono pressoché identiche al P-500, con differenze marginali.

La differenza evidente è nel dumper adottato, identico al modello original della Vibroplex, vi è stato solo aggiunto di un o'ring alla ruota di battuta per silenziare il tasto durante la trasmisione.

Questo è un modello raro rispetto agli altri TAC prodotti.

 

 

 

 

 

With the CP 500/800 models start the production of the T.A.C: company. This models was publicized since 1944 and produced until 1946.

 

Ted McElroy and his friends Joe Goode and Frank Bascomb during the Second World War formed the TAC for the production of telegraph keys, thus allowing McElroy to concentrate on the production of other military orders.

T.A.C. will not adopt the serial numbers for they keys produced, apply only the name company on the plates, this don't allows to  know how much CP 500/800 keys were produced.

This bug looks like the copy of the predecessor P-500 produced by McElroy. The shape of the project, the dimensions and the base are almost identical to the P-500, with marginal differences.

The obvious difference is in the dumper adopted, identical to the original model of the Vibroplex, there was only added a o'ring to the stop wheel to silence this bug during the transmission.

This is a rare model compared to other TAC products.
